I completed this commission a few weeks back, and as part of updating my site, I figured I'd post it first.
This is full digital painting from pencil sketch, painted entirely in CS2. Painting black skin is really tricky, but I think I pulled it off. And I got to flex some art muscles on this piece, namely playing around with the Overlay setting of brushes in CS2.
Not bad at all. I too think you pulled off the black skin rather well.
